Just watched Is This Even Real? Don't Look Behind You! Episode 1 of Backrooms: Escape Together. If a fluorescent maze and existential dread had a baby, this would be it. Spooky vibes, clever twists, and more glitches than my last video game save. Enter if you dare, or at least bring a buddy who screams dramatically on cue. I’m hooked and mildly paranoid in the best way.
Backrooms: Escape Together drops us into a lifelike co op nightmare where the yellow halls feel too real and the levels shift every time we blink. With up to six of us wandering these endless rooms we start with the basics sticking close spotting danger early and trying not to panic when the lights flicker. Eleven levels stand between us and escape and every run reshapes itself into something new.
We move as a messy little squad calling out shadows arguing over footsteps and learning fast that splitting up is how you disappear. The procedural layouts keep us guessing with deadends long stretches of silence and sudden entity pressure that turns the whole run into a survival scramble. Every door feels like a gamble every hallway feels like bait and somehow we keep pushing deeper.
